Dr. John D. Da Silva (ADEA), Chair
Dr. John Da Silva, DMD, MPH, ScM, is Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his BA in 1982 from Williams College in Art History and Chemistry and his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in 1987, where he also completed specialty training in implant dentistry, prosthodontics and geriatrics. He received his MPH & ScM from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1987 and 1992 respectively. Dr. Da Silva has been a member of the Departments of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences and Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at HSDM; served as director of Advanced Graduate Education, Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences; and was appointed Vice Dean of HSDM in 2014. Dr. Da Silva has been actively involved in the Harvard Dental Center as the medical director and a practicing dentist. He has been involved in the American Dental Education Association since 1992 and more recently as a member of the Council of Faculties, and a fellow in the Leadership Institute of ADEA. Dr. Da Silva is a past president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
