DLOSCE Implementation Plan
The Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) announced the DLOSCE will be available for use in 2020 by dental boards in the US, with a targeted release of June 2020. More information is available in a letter from Dr. Cataldo Leone (PDF), chair of the JCNDE.

Summary of Validity Evidence
The JNCDE invites dental boards to consider the information provided below regarding the validity of the DLOSCE, as they consider using DLOSCE results in 2020 to inform licensure decisions.
The objective of a technical report is to provide examination users with information to help them evaluate the validity of examination scores they interpret and use.
The ADA presents updated information to conferences, stakeholders and state dental boards regarding the creation and development of the Dental Licensure Objective Structured Clinical Examination (DLOSCE). DLOSCE Steering Committee
The Dental Licensure Objective Structured Clinical Examination (DLOSCE) Steering Committee is comprised of eight members. The Committee includes representatives from dental schools, dental practice, state dental examining boards, and the ADA Board of Trustees.
The DLOSCE is a new examination being developed by the Steering Committee, with support from the ADA Department of Testing Services. The DLOSCE is expected to begin administration in 2020.
